Inspired by various artists such as Henry Matisse and Kara Walker, this is a cut-out book telling the story of all of the cities I have had the pleasure of visiting since I was born. This book also include a verse of a poem I had written on each spread, revolving around the theme of belonging versus alienation, with the hopes that the story would provide food for thought for people able to relate to this topic and for others to gain a better understanding of my experience and beyond. Presented in an elongated horizontal format, this book also concentrates on the process of manual labor through the means of cutting out and removing material. Moreover, this project aimed at examining the various and diverse patterns generated by road maps across different cities over the world.
